Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion

The enigmatic Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga is a legendary figure in fashion history, his name a byword for clothes executed to the highest standards and characterised by their sculptural quality, the deft manipulation of textiles and dramatic use of colour. His many innovations are celebrated in the current V&A exhibition, ‘Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion’.
